I am an Assistant Professor in the at the School of Mathematics and Statistics at University College Dublin. I am part of the Fluid Dynamics research group.

My research uses mathematical modelling to study different problems in fluid dynamics, many of which are motivated by applications in geoscience and the environment. I am particularly interested in using mathematics to tackle challenges in the energy transition. I have also worked on several projects on the maths of rowing and cycling.

CO2 sequestration

Flow in porous media

Groundwater management

Maths of cycling

Tidal and river energy

Heat transfer

Water waves
