30th - 31st August 2018, UCD

The 31st annual meeting of the Irish Mathematical Society will this year take place in University College Dublin. The two day programme will consist of a mixture of short (25min) and long (50min) talks on a wide variety of topics which should be of general mathematical interest.

This is the main annual scientific meeting of the Society and also incorporates the AGM. The conference fee of €25 is waived for IMS members. Applications for membership are welcome and, coincidentally, annual membership costs just €25. For details, see the IMS website.

There will be a conference dinner at 7pm on Thursday evening (August 30th) in the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan.

Note. Potential attendees to IMS2018 may also be interested in Women in Mathematics Day 2018 which takes place on Wednesday 29th August.

Local Information

 Parking. Car parking in Belfield is free (as the meeting takes place outside teaching terms). While spaces cannot be guaranteed, availablility is generally good. More information here.
