Abstract: Exponential polynomials are used in modern CAGD for creating
Bezier-type curves. In this talk we present a short survey and discuss two classes, the cycloidal space C_n and its associated class P_n which have been investigated by J.M. Carnicer, E. Mainar and J.M.Pe\~{n}a. The main topic is the critical length conjecture for the class P_n .
