Abstract: In addition to norm and weak convergence, there is another mode of convergence available in Banach lattices. We will look at order convergence and the corresponding notion of order continuity. Order continuity for homogeneous polynomials turns out to be a natural assumption that has some useful consequences. For example, the Aron-Berner extension of a polynomial to the bidual of a Banach lattice is seen to preserve the regular norm provided we make an assumption that uses order continuity.
