Abstract: Let D be a bounded domain in Euclidean space, and suppose its boundarymoves outward. It follows from definitions that the fundamental frequencyof D is a nonincreasing function of time. I will present some estimates ofthis rate of decrease, and characterize the case of equality. This isjoint work with Tom Carroll of the University of Cork and Moustapha Fallof AIMS Senegal.
