ABSTRACT

An efficient subroutine (SYNTHR) has been coded which synthesises grid-point values from spectral coefficients. It is of high accuracy and is considerably faster than routines currently in use.

Synthesis on a rotated grid is performed by first transforming the spectral coefficients using subroutine JACOBI and then calling SYNTHR. The overhead for the rotated grid is about 67%.
