I am a PhD Candidate at UCD. My current research can be divided into the following areas:
Examining particle transport in the ocean on different length scales
- Identifying dominating forces in particle transport at different length scales
- Analysing anomalous diffusion under irrotational finite depth waves numerically and analytically
Lagrangian statistical turbulent transport modelling
- Use the Langevin equation to statiscally model turbulence, following Pope (1994), Annu. Rev. Fluid Mech.
- Use Monte-Carlo simulations to approximate the probability density function of fluid elements in turbulent flows or suspended particles under turbulent diffusion
Explosion properties of Stochastic Delay Differential Equations (SDDEs)
- Proving a novel theorem relating blow-up properties of sddes with discrete constant delays to their undelayed counterparts under weakened assumptions on the noise process
- Examining applications in biology (population modelling) and finance (interest rate modelling) of SDEs with non locally Lipschitz noise coefficients
- I wrote a paper presenting one of the main results from my Master's thesis: arXiv:2412.13383
- My Bachelor's thesis can be found here (in German)
