Exciting News: Awarded an ERC Starting Grant!

I am honoured to have been awarded a European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant for my project SurFSUP – Surfing on Free Surfaces by Undulating Propulsion. Job adverts to be announced in Spring 2026.

I am an Assistant Professor in Applied and Computational Maths at the School of Mathematics and Statistics at University College Dublin. I am a member of the Fluid Dynamics research group.

I use mathematical modelling, numerical simulations and small-scale experiments to study fluid dynamics problems with environmental and industrial applications. Some examples of my research are featured below:
