Divisibility Properties of Kloosterman Sums

Abstract: We present results on Kloosterman sums, and show that the values taken by such sums (modulo powers of the characteristic of the underlying field) are related to the values taken by the trace, and similar functions. This talk is based on joint work with Faruk Gölo?lu, Gary McGuire, and Petr Lison?k.
