In a recent work by Garibaldi-Parimala-Tignol, a cohomological invariant of degree 3 for symplectic involutions on central simple algebras of degree eight was introduced and used to solve the Pfister Factor Conjecture in degree 6.
We give a more elementary aproach to this invariant and define it as a 3-fold Pfister form.
