Abstract: The RSK algorithm is used to demonstrate a bijection between permutations and pairs of standard Young tableaux. In this talk I will discuss a permutation statistic derived from this algorithm, giving a number of interpretations for the statistic along with a few results related to the statistic (arXiv:2311.12215). This is joint work with Mark Dukes.
