Dr. Anne Cortella (Besancon)

will speak on

Morita theory for sesquilinear forms

Time: 4:00PM
Date: Wed 9th January 2008
Location: Mathematical Sciences Seminar Room [map]

Abstract: Let A be an algebra and sigma an anti-automorphsim on A (i.e. such that sigma preserves the sum and inverses the order in products). We can then define sesquilinear forms on an A-module (on the right) as usual. We will see a definition of a Morita equivalence between two algebras with anti-automorphism and prove that this gives an equivalence of categories of sesquilinear forms.
