Further information

Abstract: The theory of linear forms in logarithms (Baker's method) is one of the important tools for solving Diophantine equations effectively. After giving an overview, we shall illustrate its application by solving a Diophantine equation involving Fibonacci numbers. It is a result of joint work with I. Pink and V. Ziegler. Besides, we shall present recent work on linear forms in two $p$-adic logarithms.
