This whimsical animation would show how modern communication, by phone, email or text relies on communication sciences. All messages are translated at source into computer language (binary 1s and 0s). This is then transmitted electronically and translated back again into human (or doggie) language. Without digressing to the many fascinating mathematics problems which this technology has thrown up, the point I wanted to emphasise is: If you can shrink the amount of data to be transmitted, it saves time and money. The difference set suggests that it might potentially do this.
