Title: Evolutionary phenomena and non-associative algebras

Abstract: Dynamical systems, Markov processes or graph theory are very useful
disciplines for the study of evolutionary phenomena. The evolution
algebras are a type of non-associative structure, very simple to
define and nevertheless, strongly connected to dynamic systems, Markov
processes and weighted digraphs. Therefore, they are key to introduce
algebraic tools in the study of evolutionary phenomena.

In this talk we give an overview of evolution algebras and we show applications, for instance, to the study of the dynamical systems describing the
behaviour of mosquito populations.
