Title: The Universal TRO of an Infinite Dimensional Hilbert Space

Abstract: We describe joint work with Richard Timoney on properties of the universal TRO, $T^*(E)$, of an infinite dimensional Hilbert space $E$. Main results include that $T^*(E)$ is isomorphic to weak$^*$ dense sub - TROs of both type I and type III W$^*$TRO factors. When E is separable these sharpen to give that $T^*(E)$ can be weak$^*$ densely embedded in $B(E)$, in a type III von Neumann algebra and in a type II W$^*$TRO factor.
